Actress Constance Towers, who took over a role created by Elizabeth Taylor in the soap opera “General Hospital,” will be a guest today at the Niagara Falls International Film Festival.

Towers will speak following two showings of her 1964 movie director by the festival’s posthumous honoree, Samuel Fuller.

The Niagara Falls International Film Festival, which opened with celebrity-studded red carpet awards ceremonies on Wednesday that also included a special award to actor Lou Gossett Jr., was deemed a success by festival founder Bill Cowell.
